Reconciling ecological and economic systems is the great challenge of our time. How can we build an economy that creates prosperity while also restoring the health of our ecosystems, on which both health and wealth depend? The innovative Bioneers “Dreaming New Mexico” project, recently honored by the Buckminster Fuller Challenge award, is analyzing practical methods to create jobs and ecological health by making the transition to a green economy. Bioneers CEO and founder Kenny Ausubel will share examples and strategies of how business and government can help lead this transition. He is also the founder of Seeds of Change, a U.S.-based biodiversity organic seed company.

Who are the Bioneers?
Bioneers are social and scientific innovators from all walks of life and disciplines who have peered deep into the heart of living systems to understand how nature operates, and to mimic "nature's operating instructions" to serve human ends without harming the web of life. Nature's principles—kinship, cooperation, diversity, symbiosis and cycles of continuous creation absent of waste—can also serve as metaphoric guideposts for organising an equitable, compassionate and democratic society. This is the vision of the Bioneers!

Kenny Ausubel is also giving a talk on Sunday, June 21st, on “The Bioneers – Revolution from the Heart of Nature”, in the Upper Community Centre at the Findhorn Foundation.
